MEMBER LOGIN RE-LAUNCH: We are very pleased to announce that on Tuesday, February 23rd, the Toledo Electrical Welfare Funds' website login will be re-launched! You may visit the site to view your eligibility, hours, census data and beneficiary data and submit electronic ERP (SUB) Fund applications. We are still working on putting pension and SFBF information on the website. In the meantime, if you would like to know your pension account balances, please contact the Funds’ Office. Thank you for your patience.
In order to gain access to the updated login portal, please enter your current username and password in the designated fields on the left hand side of this web page. When you log in for the first time, you will be prompted to provide your email address and choose a security question and answer pair. If you later forget your password, you can click on the "Forgot my password" link on the main page and, once you answer the security question, a new temporary password will be emailed to the email address you provided. You will then be able to log in with the temporary password which you can then change to whatever you wish.
If you are currently receiving the ERP Benefit, please use this new login portal if you choose to submit your applications electronically with the Funds’ Office. The electronic ERP Application can be reached by clicking on the “Supplemental Unemployment Application” button on the main login screen. Please be sure to fill in all required information on the form before submitting to ensure that your request for ERP benefits is processed correctly.
If you encounter any issues upon first attempting to log in to the website, please contact the Funds' Office at 419-666-4450. Furthermore, if you have never had access to the member login portal on our website and wish to gain access, please contact the Funds’ Office and we would be happy to set you up with a username and password (when calling, please have your Union ID # readily available).
2009 Tax Forms: Please be on the lookout for 2009 tax forms from the Funds’ Office. If you received disability and/or ERP payments or you were placed on the COBRA Subsidy throughout 2009, you can expect at least one W-2 in the mail. You could have up to 3 (three) W-2 forms depending on the benefits you received in 2009. In addition, 1099R’s will be issued to all members who received pension distributions and 1099M’s will be issued to all members who participated in the education reimbursement program in 2009. The Federal Government requires that the Funds’ Office mails all forms out by January 31, 2010. If you do not receive any tax forms from the Funds’ Office and believe that you should have, please contact us at 419-666-4450. (1/21/2010)
ERP Update: As you already know, effective the week ending 9/27/09, the ERP Benefit Schedule was modified and the tiered ERP payment cycle was replaced with a flat 18% weekly payment. When the ERP transitioned from the old formula to the new formula, a credit was deducted (up to a maximum of 6) for each retro-active week that was paid out. At the direction of the Board of Trustees, any credit deducted for a retro-active week of benefit at the transition will be replaced. If you have any questions, please contact the Fund office at 419-666-4450. (12/11/09)
New VEBA Milage Rate Effective January 1, 2010: Effective January 1, 2010, the reimbursement rate for milage will be 16.5 cents per mile. (12/4/09)
Pension Update - New Special Separation of Service Option: Affective 11/1/09, if you have been off work for a minimum of six months, you are eligible to receive up to $3,500 per month from your pension account for up to six months. Please note that this is a gross amount and that 20% will be withheld from these distributions for federal tax purposes. In addition, if you are under the age of 59½, you will be responsible for a 10% early withdrawal penalty to the IRS. Keep in mind also that any pension distributions may affect your state unemployment benefits. More information regarding the Special Separation of Service Option can be found by clicking here. Applications for this benefit may be downloaded by clicking here. (10/27/09)
ERP Retro-Active Payments: If you have never received an ERP payment, but feel that you are entitled to a retroactive payment for the 6 week waiting period that was present during the previous ERP schedule, please fill out an application for the ERP benefit, write “Retroactive Payment Only” along the bottom of the application, and return the application to the Funds’ Office. The Funds’ Office will process the application and determine whether or not you are eligible to receive the retroactive payment under the new ERP guidelines. Upon determination of eligibility, you will receive a check for your retroactive ERP benefit payment. Members can click here to download a copy of the ERP Application. (10/12/09)
Please complete a W-4 Form. If you have not done so already, please complete a W-4 form and return it to the Funds' Office in order to ensure that the correct amounts are withheld from your ERP benefit checks. Blank W-4 forms are available here and also at the Funds' Office. (9/30/09)
Changes to the Employee Retention Plan: Beginning the week ending September 27, 2009, the 39 week tiered cycle will be replaced with a weekly ERP benefit equal to 18% of the base wage at 40hrs/week. Any members currently in the course of a 39 week cycle will receive retroactive payments that will make them whole under the plan. Members can find out when they will be issued their retroactive payments by clicking here. (9/23/09)
Please Note: As part of our recent software conversion, the MEMBER LOGIN functionality will no longer be updated. Participants with existing logins can still use the website to submit ERP applications, but the individual pension balances and member work hours will no longer update. We will also be unable to activate new users. We are currently exploring the options to deliver the most service to you at the most cost-effective price. If you need either your current pension balance or hours, please give us a call at 419-666-4450.

ERP News: As a part of our systems transition, we will be changing the way we produce ERP/SUB fund checks. As a result, they will be mailed from off-site, which may increase the time to delivery by a day or so. We are exploring ways to direct deposit this money in the near future. Stay tuned, and thank you for your patience. (7/2/2009)
